Ae Dil Hai Mushkil Vs Shivaay : Karan Johar's film takes a lead of Rs 75Cr !

After so much hype, controversy & talk about the biggest clash of the year between Karan Johar’s "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" and Ajay Devgn’s "Shivaay", the performance of both films suggest that "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" and "Shivaay" both have done well at box office. However, despite the hurdles Karan Johar's "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" which stars Ranbir Kapoor , Anushka Sharma & Aishwarya Rai Bachchan faced, the film has managed to surge ahead in terms of domestic, worldwide & overall box office collections.

In fact the data collected at the end of the second weekend, clearly puts Ranbir Kapoor's "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" in lead over Ajay Devgn starrer "Shivaay". While the clash between both the movies is a close one at the domestic box office, the fantastic run of Karan Johar's "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" in overseas markets along with the disastrous fate of Ajay Devgn's Shivaay in the same territories has resulted in a huge lead for Ranbir Kapoor & Anushka Sharma starter "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" globally. At the end of the second weekend, Karan Johar's film had grossed approximately Rs. 206 crores worldwide whereas Ajay Devgn's "Shivaay" had grossed only Rs. 131 crores worldwide. The result at the end of second weekend puts "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" in a lead of Rs. 75 cr over "Shivaay"

Since both the movies are running in theatres till now, the final lead of "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" over "Shivaay" will be most approximately around Rs. 100 crores.

Karan Johar's film has recovered it's budget and now it has successfully entered 100Cr club, on the other hand Ajay Devgn's "Shivaay" is struggling to recover it's budget !
