Salman Khan collaborates with Irrfan Khan for a historical film !

Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan has collaborated with actor Irrfan Khan for a historical film. Salman Khan is co-producing a film, titled as "Lions Of The Sea", the film is based on a true love story, on the voyage of Indian immigrants to Canada aboard Japanese steamer Kamagata Maru.


The incident which took place in 1914, when Japanese ship, Kamagata Maru sailed with more than 340 Sikh passengers to Canada but was denied entry. Actor Irrfan Khan will be playing a Sikh lawyer, who fought for the rights of the passengers.

A source revealed, "Salman's film will be shot in English, but will also be dubbed in multiple languages. The makers of the film are deciding, whether to shot the film in Hindi or Punjabi. The English script has been locked and Irrfan Khan will play one of the main leads while Salman Khan will be producing the film only, though he will not be seen in a cameo appearance in the film.

"The film will have only Indian and Canadian actors in it, and the shooting of the film may start from April 2017."

The film is said to be the same movie that director Deepa Mehta had announced in 2006 with John Abraham in the lead role, but the film was shelved because of the budget issues and the dates of John Abraham.
