Befikre Movie Review - An absolute Ranveer Singh show with a Predictable storyline !

Befikre Poster.

Cast - Ranveer Singh, Vaani Kapoor

Director - Aditya Chopra

Duration - 2hr 10mins

Genre - Romantic Comedy

Ratings - 3/5

Plot - The story of the film deals with a breakup, actually of Dharam (Ranveer Singh) and Shyra (Vaani Kapoor). Dharam, a stand up comedian from Delhi, lands in Paris to work at his friend's club in Paris. While he tries to hookup with random girls on his first tour in Paris, he meets Shyra, a french girl, who is born to Indian parents. After a song, thus starts a series of french kisses, dares on which their relationship is built. Now, what starts as a crazy one night stand, ends up in a relationship. Soon Dharam and Shyra fall out of love just as quickly within a year. They breakup, they move on their own ways, but they still end up being just friends. But can two temperamental, volatile exes become "Just friends" ?

Review - Befikre is Aditya Chopra's first film without Shah Rukh Khan as the leading man. The film deals with modern day relationships. Ranveer Singh brilliantly nails the act of Delhi boy. He is just hilarious is his act when he compares Paris with monuments of Delhi. Vaani Kapoor delivers a commendable performance, she looks stunning in almost all frames, her French and dancing are just fabulous. People who have grown up watching DDLJ may not appreciate Aditya Chopra for this film, but it's quite okey, Adi is changing his tracks. There's nothing like a dull moment in the first half, but the second is quite predictable. The second half is a little bit slow while Aditya Chopra's tight direction holds things together. The sexual chemistry of Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor is a plus point for the film. The song "Nashe Si Chad Gayi" is my favourite song from the film. The songs by Vishal-Shekhar adds breeze to the film. The cinematography must be mentioned here, that perfectly captures the intrinsic nature of Paris and the background score matches the tone. Ultimately, Befikre is an absolute Ranveer Singh show. He will make you laugh, and charm you as Dharam. You won't be able to see anything else except Ranveer Singh. If you are a fan of some light, romantic films then this is your film for the weekend.
