BREAKING! Akshay Kumar will be making Sanitary Napkins in "Pad Man"
Superstar Akshay Kumar is all set to make 2017 more special with Jolly LLB 2, Toilet - Ek Prem Katha and R Balki's Pad Man.
Pad Man is said to be the biopic of Arunachalam Muruganantham. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor alongside Akshay Kumar.
Akshay Kumar had a great 2016, be it Airlift, Housefull or Rustom, all belonged to different genres and successfully collected 100Cr+ at the Box Office. Looks like Akshay Kumar will be continuing the same trend in 2017, he will be releasing not three but four films in this year, all having different genres. This time he is coming with new directors with whom he hasn't worked before i.e. Subhash Kapoor (Jolly LLB 2), Shree Narayan Singh (Toilet - Ek Prem Katha), Shankar (2.0) and R Balki (Pad Man).

R Balki is best known for making slice of life kinda films, different genres and types of films with different titles (Cheeni Kam, Paa, Ki & Ka). R Balki's upcoming film with Akshay Kumar also follows the same trend of different genre film with a different title. The film is based on a true incident. The film is said to be the biopic on India's "Menstruation Man" an epithet used as a term to abuse Arunachalam Muruganantham. Abusing someone, maybe a social worker or anyone isn't a good thing. Arunachalam was born in Tamil Nadu. The film is based on the story of a social worker, who made cheap and affordable napkins for the womens of his village. His social work earned him a spot in the 100 Most Influential People in the world. He was also awarded Padma Shri last year. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan in a key role and Sonam Kapoor will be playing the female lead alongside Akshay Kumar.
Akshay Kumar is all set to release with his first release of the year, Jolly LLB 2. Akshay Kumar will be playing the character of a lawyer. Jolly LLB 2 is the sequel of 2013's surprise hit and much acclaimed film Jolly LLB which starred Arshad Warsi.
