Plot - Raees (Shah Rukh Khan) is a regular man with big dreams. He builds an illegal alcohol empire in Gujarat, yet the gangster is also having a heart of gold. He does bad things for a good cause. His business is highly challenged by a police cop ACP Jaideep Ambalal Majumdar (Nawazuddin Siddiqui). Will Raees be able to save him and his empire ?
Review - Shah Rukh Khan plays the character of Raees, a spectacled goon who hates being called "Battery". He starts from the bottom, builds his own alcohol empire and becomes a top Bootlegger of his town. Very soon, ACP Majmudar is posted in his area, he meets his equal. Raees forms a connection with politicians and soon becomes a thorn in their side. The first half is very good, it gains your interest, lets you know more about this Gujarati Bootlegger. While the second half presents the Robin Hood zone of Raees. He becomes a Messiah of people. The ending might look a little bit stretched to some audience. Overall, Shah Rukh Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui's outstanding performances won't let you feel bored. After a long time, Shah Rukh Khan returns in a negative avatar, and he delivers his another best performance, one minute he's beating his enemies and you're terrified, the next moment he's romancing Mahira Khan, and you're in love. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is phenomenal, and delivers another crackling performance in his trademark style. Mahira Khan makes a startling debut, while Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub and Atul Kulkarni are brilliant. The music of the film is composed by Ram Sampath and JAM8. The songs are already topping the charts, and it's a plus point for the film, while "O Zaalima", "Udi Udi Jaye" and "Saanson Ke" are my favourite tracks from the film, but I'm also in love with Sunny Leone's "Laila Main Laila" and "Dhingana" by Mika Singh. Director Rahul Dholakia did a remarkable job here, his direction skills are brilliant. The cinematography is too good. The background score was amazing. Overall, The script of the film is brilliantly written by Rahul Dholakia, Harit Mehta, Ashish Vashi, Niraj Shukla. Overall, Raees marks the beginning of good movies in 2017.
Final Words - A movie with a brilliant script, brilliant direction, brilliant music and a brilliant starcast ! Don't miss this one ! It's a complete Shah Rukh Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui's show ! Don't be more confused Go for it !
