Plot - The plot of the film revolves around Mithu (Amrinder Gill), who lives in Canada. In order to make quick money, Mithu gets involved in wrong business. One day, he accidentally gets involved in a crime, he runs back to his hometown in Punjab. In Punjab, he meets Paali (Simi Chahal) and falls in love with her. Soon he meets Amreek Singh (Ranjit Bawa), he realises his mistakes and believes that he has failed to become the best child of his parents.
Review - After much loved and acclaimed films like Angrej and Love Punjab, Amrinder Gill is back with Sarvann. The film is based on the lure for money of NRI's living abroad. Amrinder Gill plays his part very well, he hasn't played a role like this since he made his debut in the industry. But Amrinder Gill is a phenomenal actor, with this film once again he proves he is one of the most talented actors in the industry. Playing the female lead is Simi Chahal, she looks beautiful, emotes well and delivers a good performance. On the other hand, Ranjit Bawa makes his debut with Sarvann. His comic timing is good, he will make you laugh with it. The film is written by Amberdeep Singh, one of the best and most talented writers in the industry and directed by Kiraan Guliani. One thing which should have a special mention here is the scene just before the interval, when Mithu calls his mother in Canada, that scene is a brilliant piece direction, writing and acting as well. The writer of the film Amberdeep Singh is best known for films like Angrej, Love Punjab and Goreyan Nu Daffa Karo etc. Amberdeep Singh and Amrinder Gill's duo has given hits in the past and Sarvann will surely prove to be another hit for both. The music is composed by Jatinder Shah, however Amrinder Gill hasn't sung much songs for the film but "Ni Main" is still my favourite from the film. Overall, the film is made with a good intent, it's one of the best films ever made in the Punjabi Film Industry. Also, Sarvann is the maiden Punjabi Production film of Priyanka Chopra under her banner (Purple Pebble Pictures).
Final Words - With a good script, direction, music and performances, this film will surely make your Lohri more special ! Go For It !
