After Tubelight Salman Khan teams up with Kabir Khan for another film to prove his acting skills - read exclusive details

Salman Khan and Kabir Khan's latest film 'Tubelight' has fallen below expectation. The film received mixed reviews from critics and audience, as well as garnered a lukewarm response at the domestic box office. The film failed to break previous records made by 'Ek Tha Tiger', 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' and 'Sultan'. The film collected 19 cr on Monday and 12 cr on Tuesday and is heading towards 100 cr club with a total of Rs. 96.86 cr. According to sources, the actor-director duo have reportedly collaborated for another film. The have decided to make their next film together. Reports claim that Salman Khan is all set to surprise his fans by playing a 70-year old character in Kabir Khan's next film. However, Tubelight was one of the much anticipated films of the year, but the box office collections of the film turned out to be disappointing as compared to Salman's recent movies. A source claims that Salman Khan is still willing to try more experiments with his roles. "See, bhai is really not bothered about what the critics say. He wants to play characters now, and not just be Salman Khan the superstar now. The same critics slammed him for just going in front of the camera and not doing anything to change into characters. Now when he is keen to play characters he will do what he wants without fear of criticism. The source also claimed that, Salman Khan will be seen playing a character, who will age from 40 to 70. This will be the first time the actor would play an aged character. He was initially hesitant to be a part of the movie as he is scared of using prosthetics, but he eventually agreed on doing the role. "Bhat got scared of that film because that will require him to use a lot of prosthetics to show age. Bhai is not comfortable with prosthetics. He always says no to roles that require him to put disguises, fake beards, etc. because of his neuro-condition. Earlier, Superstar Shah Rukh Khan played an aged character in Veer-Zaara. Then Aamir Khan went a step further for Dangal and played a father of two adult daughters. It will be interesting to see if Salman Khan playing an elderly character for the very first time and prove his acting skills in Kabir Khan's next movie.
