HASEENA PARKAR TEASER : Get ready to witness Shraddha Kapoor's steller performance - watch video
Director Apoorva Lakhia is back with his much awaited Shraddha Kapoor starrer Haseena Parkar. The title of the film "Haseena Parkar" itself suggests that the film is about the younger sister of Dawood Ibrahim, who used to handle his operations in Mumbai. In a surprising move, Shraddha Kapoor plays the lead role, while her real-life elder brother, Siddhant Kapoor, plays Dawood Ibrahim in the movie. Ankur Bhatia plays her husband who gets killed during a gang war.
Director Apoorva Lakhia's biggest hit was Shootout at Lokhandwala. The film was based on the encounter killing of dreaded Mumbai gangster, Maya Dolas and his gang members. Unfortunately, he didn’t get to direct the sequel "Shootout at Wadala". Now, with Haseena Parkar he's making his comeback into Gangster dramas.
The 1 min and 5 seconds teaser gives an idea about to what to expect from the movie. The teaser makes it clear that the film is not only about Dawood Ibrahim, but rather his sibling with only one scene of Siddhant as the dreaded fugitive don. One thing that should be noticed is that, the teaser avoided giving us a proper view of Shraddha Kapoor; it showcases the actor with mostly side angles and a scene in which she's wearing a burkha. A couple of scenes showcase various phases of her life and how being Dawood’s sister affected her life and marriage. There's a scene, in which a cop reminds Haseena that she can’t escape the fact that she is Dawood’s sister and instead of trying to escape from that image, she completely accepts it. The last scene that shows a proper glimpse of Shraddha with her face in prosthetics. That pose left us floored! It's the same pose that we saw on the poster in which she's seen sitting on the chair, with lots of guts on her face.
Haseena Parkar stars Shraddha Kapoor, Ankur Bhatia and Siddhant Kapoor in lead roles. The film is helmed by Apoorva Lakhia and is scheduled to release on August 18, while the official trailer will be out in July. Stay tuned for more updates!
