Ritesh Sidhwani confirms Don 3 : Will make an official announcement soon!
Shah Rukh Khan fans are in a treat these days. Recently Shah Rukh Khan revealed the title of his upcoming film, followed by releasing official posters and two mini trails from his upcoming romantic flick Jab Harry Met Sejal with Anushka Sharma. We're still not over with watching the mini trails from the film, now we got an official confirmation of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Don 3. When Shah Rukh Khan stepped into Amitabh Bachchan's shoes for the remake of Don, no one could have thought that the film would take Bollywood by storm. Shah Rukh Khan-Priyanka Chopra starrer Don (2006) and it's second installment Don 2 (2011) will return with a third outing. So far, the makers did not have a story for Don 3, but producer Ritesh Sidhwani has some good news for fans. Co-producer Ritesh Sidhwani said, "We are thinking about Don 3 and we are thinking very hard on it. We have found the right idea and it's being written now. We will make an official announcement soon." However, he also stated that Bollywood cinephiles will have to "wait for the official announcement" to know if Shah Rukh and Priyanka will headline the cast, and if director-producer Farhan Akhtar will direct the third installment. Rumours were doing the rounds that Priyanka Chopra will be replaced by Katrina Kaif or Jacqueline Fernandez in Don 3, however Ritesh did not reveal anything about the cast and the director. Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's production company, Excel Entertainment bought the rights of the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Don (1978) and then made it with Shah Rukh and Priyanka in the lead. Speculations about the third installment had been rife ever since 'Don 2' hit the screens in 2011. Meanwhile, Sidhwani is busy with a string of films being created under his banner. The producer said, "Farhan is just acting in 'Lucknow-Central', we are not producing the film. I have heard it, but it's (film) a good script and it's going to be really nice.We will start shooting for Reema Kagti's 'Gold' by the end of the month. 'Gold', starring Akshay Kumar, tells the story of India's first Olympic medal win as a free nation in 1948 at the 14th Olympics in London. The Reema Kagti directorial film is set to release on August 15, 2018. While, 'Fukrey 2' is ready, and set for a December 8 release. The trailer will be out soon. Then, we have a web show that Zoya Akhtar and Reema are doing. It's called 'Made In Heaven', and is about weddings in Delhi." Sidhwani's team is also working on the adaptation of the novel, 'Taj: A Story Of Mughal India'. "We have acquired the rights of Timeri N Muraris's novel. It's a royal drama. It' a massive project and will take at least a year to write, and another to make. It's going to be our flagship show," the producer added. Maenwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is busy with the promotions of his upcoming film with Anushka Sharma, Jab Harry Met Sejal. The film is scheduled to release on August 4, a week ahead of Akshay Kumar starrer Toilet - Ek Prem Katha. Shah Rukh Khan will also be seen playing a dwarf opposite Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in Aanand L. Rai's next. When it comes to playing negative characters, there's no secret that Shah Rukh Khan is the undisputed king, we all have seen his grey shades. From Darr to Baazigar, but when he stepped into Amitabh Bachchan's shoes as Don (Though, it was a remake of the 1978 hit), he sent fans into a frenzy with his menacing smirk and natural swagger. Recently, he played the character of a Gujarati Bootlegge in Raess, and we are already in love with his grey shades.
2. Farhan Akhtar as the director -
We have seen him in all avatars - the actor, the singer, the producer, the writer - but Farhan Akhtar is exceptionally good as a director. Although it has not been confirmed if he will direct the third installment (Don 3), but there's a strong possibility, given that he helmed the first two installments in the franchise.

Don 3 would be incomplete if Don doesn't have his "Jungli Billi a.k.a Roma" by his side. Rumours were at rife that Katrina Kaif or Jacqueline Fernandez would replace Priyanka in Don 3. This was reportedly because SRK and Priyanka were linked together during the making of Don 2, and their growing proximity (nearness in space) led SRK's Gauri to put her foot down and make her husband swear to never work with PeeCee again. It has been years since the two actors shared screen space and showed the world their sizzling chemistry.
4. A hell of a Crime/Action Thriller -
The first two films proved that Don and unexpected twists go hand-in-hand. If you're a fan of stylish action thrillers, Don 3 is the film to watch out for.
