Tubelight box office collection day 6 : Salman Khan's film enters 100 cr club, collects Rs. 6.50 cr
Salman Khan starrer Tubelight might have failed to break records at the box office, but the film has managed to enter Rs. 100 cr club. However, the movie took a time of 6 days to reach this feat. That's a pretty long time for a Salman Khan film releasing on Eid and taking 6 days to enter 100cr club. Normally, it took 3 days for Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan to enter Rs. 100 cr club. But still that's not a bad performace for Tubelight, it just had a slow and disappointing run till now. Yesterday we revealed that Tubelight had collected in Rs 95.86 cr in 5 days. Though it saw a major drop on day 5 and it continued on day 6 (Wednesday) once again. Though the film collected Rs. 6.50 cr on day 6 and managed to enter the Rs 100 cr club.
But looking at the current trends, we don't think Tubelight will enter Rs. 200 cr club. Next weekend Transformers : The Last Knight will release and will take just one screen from every multiplex and single screens. But, that won't effect Tubelight. Looking at current trends, Salman Khan's Tubelight will somehow manage to get a lifetime collection of around Rs 150 cr. But unfortuantely, it will not touch the Rs 200 crore mark. Salman Khan's Eid release Tubelight hasn't performed according to our expectations. We were predicting the film to cross Rs. 350 cr, but now, even Rs 200 cr looks difficult for the film. With a big screen space (4350 screens) and a good buzz, Tubelight could have had a fantastic opening, but it failed to break records and struggled to reach to Rs 100 cr even after six days.
