WATCH DADDY TRAILER : Get Ready to Witness Arjun Rampal's Gangster Saga!
Fans of Arjun Rampal found more reasons to rejoice since Daddy's first look was unveiled.
After a hiatus, the National award-winning actor Arjun Rampal is back! He's well known for playing the ruthless and cunning politician in 'Rajneeti', a cop in 'Kahaani 2', now back with a more villainy character in 'Daddy'. He's playing the main lead in Ashim Ahluwalia’s political crime drama Daddy, based on the life of former gangster turned politician Arun Gawli, who is often known as the king of Dagdi Chawl, a settlement in Mumbai. Daddy is the nickname Gawli’s admirers had given to him. The first poster and later that teaser left everyone intrigued, especially how eerily similar Arjun Rampal is looking as compared to Arun Gawli.
The film marks a comeback of Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal in top form and follows the fates of Indian politician as well as former gangster Arun Gawli.
The film is about three friends who form a gang after the lockdown of textile mills in Mumbai in 1970. The workers residing in Dagdi Chawl join hands with the Underworld. They call themselves B.R.A gang (B.R.A is an abbreviation of their initials; Babu, Rama and Arun.)
The trailer is very gripping and fast paced, it introduces us to his character, the only one who did not run away, and brings to light two other residents of Dagdi Chawl, Mumbai, who form a gang with him. The trailer of the film shows Arjun Rampal flaunting long tresses, a beard and maintaining an intriguing glare all throughout. With gun shots in the background, the trailer captures the ordeal of the workers who are drawn to the Underworld. Arjun Rampal plays the lead role and looks badass in this new avatar. The trailer depicts their lifestyle and also reflects back to an older Mumbai. Arjun Rampal dons the Gandhi cap and earns the support of the masses who becomes fondly called as 'Daddy' by his followers. He plays the man who chose to neither step back nor run away from India.

The film stars Arjun Rampal, Aishawarya Rajesh, Mir Sarwar in lead roles. Daddy is a political crime drama, and is gonna be one compelling watch and will provide Arjun Rampal a platform to showcase his underrated acting talent, and this performance might fetch him awards as well. The film has been co-written and directed by Ashim Ahluwalia, this makes it more intriguing as to what he has in store for us.. Ashim Ahluwalia is known for making the festival darling, Miss Lovely, that starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui. DADDY is slated to release on 21 July, 2017.
