Jagga Jasoos Box Office Collection Day 1 : Ranbir-Katrina's film earns Rs 8.57 crore on it's first day
Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer Jagga Jasoos has finally hit the theatres and while the enthusiasm was far above the ground, but it looks like the film hasn’t fared well at the box office on it’s vert first day. Jagga Jasoos garnered an occupancy of just 20 per cent in the morning shows, making it Ranbir’s worst openings in recent times. In fact, Ranbir’s biggest flop, Bombay Velvet which also starred Anushka Sharma, had a similar opening occupancy. In fact last year, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil managed to get 40 per cent occupancy during the morning shows at day 1. This made us wonder if Jagga Jasoos will fare well at box office or not? Jagga Jasoos garnered mixed reviews, but the Multiplex audience has been praising it. The film was released on 1800+ screens in India, and will surely garner a good growth during the weekend. The movie has received better reviews than Bombay Velvet, many often said that, “It’s Ranbir Kapoor’s best performance till date!” So obviously it should do a better business. Not to forget, majority of kids are excited for the movie. Keeping in mind, schools might have been a restricting factor on Friday, but we might witness a good growth on Saturday and Sunday. The film can easily collect around Rs. 20-25 crore during it’s weekend, and hence it will be a better opening than Bombay Velvet (Rs 16.90 crore).
