Shah Rukh Khan to play a BADDIE in Dhoom 4?
Talk about some thrilling news! Is Shah Rukh Khan on board for Dhoom 4? We have the answer...
The news that bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will be playing a baddie in Dhoom 4 has been in news for over a year. Though it may have been a discussion amid the actor and Yash Raj Films at the time, but now it’s the start to seem like a plan. Following Aamir Khan in Dhoom 3, it had to be either Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan to uphold the star power of the franchise. Since Salman Khan is by now under the burden of an additional action franchise — Race 3, looks like Shah Rukh is the perfect choice for Dhoom 4. Mainly because the central character is the baddie, and Shah Rukh loves doing such roles rather well. We have seen his dark shades in Baazigar, Darr, Don and Raees. According to a source, “Aditya Chopra wants to take Dhoom 4 to a next level and he has asked Maneesh Sharma (Director of FAN) to write the script for the film. Currently he’s scripting it. Vijay Krishna Acharya aka Victor, who previously directed Dhoom 3 is now busy with Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bacchan starrer Thugs of Hindostan. So the film will change hands again. Maneesh will probably direct it as well.”
Maneesh and Shah Rukh Khan share a good working bond. “Although Fan didn’t work at the box office, Shah Rukh and Maneesh have discussed regarding working together for a second time. Nothing is on paper as of now, but for Shah Rukh Khan, the paper work isn’t required when it’s a YRF film. Only a call from Adi is enough”, the source added. Earlier, when Shah Rukh was asked if he’s fascinated about playing a baddie in Dhoom 4? The superstar answered, “I am doing a film with Yash Raj Films and that’s Fan. If I get an opportunity, I’d love to do it. I find it very cool. But Adi has never asked me for Dhoom series.
