Wait, What? Golmaal Again fails to beat these two records of Shah Rukh Khan!

Golmaal Again is winning everywhere but lost out to Shah Rukh Khan.

After creating frenzy over it’s release, Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Again released on October 20 created history by breaking bollywood’s existing opening day records of 2017. Despite the fact that a lot of records were broken, there was one thing that the movie failed to do, it could not break the opening day Box Office collection of Shah Rukh Khan’s Happy New Year, and another thing that the movie failed to do was, it could not break Shah Rukh Khan’s record breaking opening of Dilwale at the overseas Box Office. Taran Adarsh gave out the numbers only a while back saying,

As you can see, the domestic figures of Golmaal Again are at ₹ 58.51 cr, whereas the two days domestic figures of Happy New Year were ₹ 76.56 cr. Talking about the overseas figures, in 2 days Golmaal Again has collected $ 2.32 million [₹ 15.09 cr] from the overseas market, whereas the overseas box office result of Dilwale states that the film collected ₹ 50.61 cr in 2 days. Now, calculating both domestic and overseas collection of Golmaal Again i.e. ₹ 58.51 cr + ₹ 15.09 cr records ₹ 73.6 cr. Whereas calculating both domestic and overseas collection of Dilwale i.e. ₹ 41.09 cr + ₹ 50.61 cr records ₹ 91.70 cr. That’s Incredible, as both the films were directed by Rohit Shetty but Dilwale did much better business than Golmaal Again in overseas. Dilwale mainly stormed the International markets of US, UK and UAE. Despite of the hollywood flick Star Wars, Dilwale became 2015’s biggest Bollywood opening grosser in UK and even raced ahead of Star Wars in UAE. Hence Golmaal Again couldn’t get past the star power of Shah Rukh Khan.
