WATCH Padmavati Trailer: A spellbinding tale of guts, glory and love!
Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s films have been linked with visual splendor for eternity. The trailer of his upcoming film, Padmavati, guarantees nothing with a reduction.
The trailer of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much awaited, highly anticipated film ‘Padmavati’ was released on Monday. As expected, the trailer is a rupture of effervescent colours, a tale of guts, glory and love.
The three minutes long video opens with a long Rajput entourage walking up to a fort, most probably the Chittorgarh fort, which is headed by Rawal Ratan Singh (played by Shahid Kapoor) moreover following him is a moving wall of cloth surrounding Rani Padmavati (played by Deepika Padukone). We are treated with quite a lot of loving moments amid the lead couple before disaster strikes – Alauddin Khilji (played by Ranveer Singh) makes an appearance.
The trailer fruitfully held the audience spellbound, through shots of forts, entourages, caravan, and combat. The 3 mins long video also features an incredible shot of Ranveer Singh a.k.a Alauddin Khilji riding a horse into a sand storm.
Shahid looks a slight more unemotional than one would have been fond of, and Deepika seems like the character was made for her. But, it is Ranveer Singh – the diabolical Khilji that grabs eyeballs. His entry seems to be the best part of the trailer moreover he has no dialogue, one just want to see more of him. And yes, the background music deserves a special mention, it’s irresistible. The film also stars Jim Sarbh and Aditi Rao Hydari, but we couldn’t get to have their glimpse in the trailer.
The film has previously faced objections, protests and shooting was stuck at quite a lot of occasions subsequent to the film sets were vandalized and set in flames. But now, the film is all set to hit the screens on December 1.
