2.O will not clash with Akshay Kumar’s Padman, will release on Tamil New Year – 13th April, 2018

It was yesterday, when Akshay Kumar shocked everyone when he announced that Padman will be releasing on Republic Day 2018. Everyone was zapped! How can Akshay Kumar clash against himself on the same day? 2.O has him playing the villain, which is something everyone is waiting for. On the other hand, Padman sees him bring Arunachalam Muruganantham’s real life story on celluloid wherein he helps the women of his village by providing them easily available sanitary pads. It’s an inspirational story which deserved a long run at the theatres for the message to reach far as well as wide.

The actor took to twitter to share the new poster of Padman along with release date, he captioned –

So we were speculating, one or the other will be pushed. 2.O will now release on April 13, 2018 on the occasion of Tamil New Year. That means Padman will have a free way ahead to make good numbers at the box office.

2.O will have an excellent two week run before Mahesh Babu’s next hits the screens to rival it. On the other hand, Varun Dhawan and Shoojit Sircar’s October is also releasing on April 13, 2018. We wonder, both the films are heading towards an epic clash or one will delay the release? There’s no official confirmation regarding this. Stay tuned for more updates!
