Katrina Kaif to play a baddie opposite Salman Khan in Tiger Zinda Hai ?

Unlike Kabir Khan's Ek Tha Tiger which had Salman Khan as a RAW agent from India who falls in love with Katrina Kaif, an ISI agent from Pakistan against all odds, Ali Abbas Zafar's Tiger Zinda Hai is supposed to take Katrina Kaif as a baddie.

Tiger Zinda Hai is a sequel to the 2012 superhit film Ek Tha Tiger. The prequel was directed by Kabir Khan but now the sequel is being directed by Ali Abbas Zafar under the banner of Yash Raj Films. Director of the film, Ali Abbas Zafar is going to come up with an interesting shocker. The sequel will not deviate away from the core plot of the film. But if the industry buzz is anything to go by then Katrina’s character in the is supposed to be more on the negative side. Now does that mean she’ll split with Salman Khan or will she play dirty games to trap him? It's difficult for us to guess. But the fact is that Katrina’s expected to be the baddie in this film, that has made us so damn excited !

Few months back, a source revealed something about Katrina's character in Tiger Zinda Hai, the source quoted,“While in Kabir Khan's Ek Tha Tiger Hai, Katrina was just seen as a lovely prop, but now, in the action-drama directed by Ali Abbas Zafar's Tiger Zinda Hai you will witness the actress doing a lot of action for the very first time. Katrina has never done high-octane, hardcore action before, like hand-to-hand-combat or flying into the air, so she will have to undergo training for it.”

While the biggest fact of Tiger Zinda Hai is the return of the Bollywood's second favorite couple Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif after four years has made us super excited; the first favourite couple of Bollywood is Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. Director of the film, Ali Abbas Zafar further assures how he’s going to make the most out of this reunion. He had quoted saying “I am writing spontaneously, going with my instinct. I chose to do the film because of the pressure of it. Directing Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the second installment of a successful franchise is not easy. But, I am focusing on telling a more relevant story for today’s political climate. The characters are from the first part, but the story will be a brand new.”

Talking about the scenic locations for the Action Drama, the director added, “We have planned to shoot at several overseas locations. Usually, my films are set in India. I often start a story in Budapest or London and end it in Kolkata or Haryana. But this time, the story will have fancy locations; there will be a valid reason why the guys are in a new country. Finally, my passport will come to some good use.

Not to forget, Katrina Kaif too during a recent media interaction had clarified how Tiger Zinda Hai will be starting from exactly where it left in Ek Tha Tiger. Katrina said, “The film set in one time period, in simple words we can say, our film is set in today’s times. There’s no front-back at all. It’s a sequel in the correct sense of the term. It will begin exactly from where we left off in the previous film.”
