Priyanka Chopra launched the trailer of her first Punjabi film "Sarvann" !

Toronto: Actress Priyanka Chopra recently unveiled the trailer of her production venture "Sarvann", which stars Punjabi singer and actor Amrinder Gill alongside Simi Chahal and Ranjit Bawa in lead roles.
Before the launch of the trailer Priyanka visited Gurudwara with her mother Madhu Chopra and film's lead actor Amrinder Gill.

We all know Priyanka is a busy girl. We have seen her in a number of films and also heard her singing in music videos. Now our desi girl is busy with her international TV project, the season two of Quantico. But that's not the only thing which keeps her busy at present. Priyanka is also taking her role as a producer very seriously.

On Sunday (20th November) Priyanka was present at the trailer launch of "Sarvann", her maiden Punjabi production. The film is made under the banner of Purple Pebble Pictures, the production house of Priyanka.

The star-studded trailer launch of the Punjabi film "Sarvann" which is co-produced by Vashu Bhagnani, was attended by senior members of the Parliament of Canada yesterday. Priyanka launched the trailer of the film in Toronto and she was accompanied by the whole cast and crew of "Sarvann" along with her mother, Dr. Madhu Chopra.

Priyanka took her twitter handle to share Sarvann’s trailer. She wrote, “Presenting the trailer of #Sarvann, @PurplePebblePic’s maiden Punjabi film. Proud to work with this amazing team…”

The lead actor of the film, Amrinder Gill, was also present at the trailer launch in Toronto. In the trailer, Amrinder Gill is shown in a never seen before avatar.
The actor said: "Our film is based on the story of a man at a crossroad caught in a situation. He is forced to choose between his heart & mind, right & wrong, realisation & redemption."

It's the third film which is being produced by Priyanka. "Sarvann" is based on the story of a young man living in Canada who returns to India to reconnect with his roots. Priyanka said, Toronto was the ideal place to launch the trailer.

Priyanka said, "I really wanted to bring the film somewhere where it would be appreciated looked at for what we were trying to make."
“Toronto is very important to me because it has such a massive Punjabi community,”. “I think the Punjabi community is an extremely proud and upheld community in Toronto.”

On behalf of Pooja Films', producer Deepshikha Deshmukh said that our film, "Sarvann" is a story that is needed to be told.
"Me and my father believe that good stories must be backed. Sarvann is one such film that keeps with our endeavour to bring more such stories to the audience. I'm glad to be associated with Priyanka Chopra, and her mother, Dr. Madhu Chopra."

Deepshikha further added,"We chose launch our trailer in Toronto because my father has always believed in changing the marketing strategy with each film we do."

The mother of Priyanka Chopra, Dr. Madhu Chopra is the co-founder and the managing director of Purple Pebble Pictures.

Priyanka said, "Sarvann marks the beginning of a very special journey for us and what better way than to start with an audience here in Toronto. The entire team is very excited to share the trailer of the film with hard-core fans of the vibrant Punjabi film industry,".

Sarvann is the story of a young man who discovers his identity, said the film's director Karaan Guliani.
The movie also stars Ranjit Bawa and Simi Chahal in lead roles. The film is all set to release on Lohri next year.
