Shah Rukh Khan's "Om Shanti Om" will be made in Japanese Musical Drama : Old Wine New Bottle !
Choreographer - Filmmaker Farah Khan's 2007 film "Om Shanti Om" which regaled Bollywood audience with it's songs and dance sequences is now being made into a musical in Japan.
Farah's directorial, which revolves around reincarnation and had an ensemble cast, clocked 9 years since it's release in Bollywood film industry on Wednesday.
9 years ago on 9th November, director Farah Khan gifted us a movie, “Om Shanti Om”. It was Farah Khan’s second directorial movie with SRK after “Main Hoon Na”. Om Shanti Om gave many beautiful songs which are still on top of our playlists. On the occasion of 9th anniversary of "Om Shanti Om", Farah took her twitter handle to make an announcement. One of the most loved superhit movie will be made in Japanese. “Maybe a good day to announce on #9YearsOfOmShantiOm that it’s being made into a huge musical in japan!” she tweeted and shared the poster of the Japanese drama. Also, Farah thanked to everybody related to the movie, cast and crew including Shah Rukh Khan.
"Om Shanti Om" was Deepika’s debut movie and she won Filmfare award for Best Female Debut. Her career started with this movie, and after this she never looked back. Today she is one of the top actresses in the country.
The chartbuster song "Deewangi" from "Om Shanti Om" in which, 31 stars including SRK made a
special appearance. Farah wanted to bring all four mighty Khans together but
she failed to convince Aamir Khan who was busy while shooting for "Taare Zameen Par". On being approached for the special appearance in the song, Aamir Khan said "If we gave "Om Shanti Om" four minutes of his time, "Taare Zameen Par" would suffer
by four months."
On the same day, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s romantic movie, "Saawariya" was released which launched Ranbir Kapoor & Sonam Kapoor. The two movies clashed on box office in which SRK & Deepika Padukone starrer "Om Shanti Om" won the clash.
