Plot - Under the guidance of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, his disciple Madho Das transforms into Khalsa Warrior "Banda Singh Bahadur" and takes on the Mughal armies to restore peace & justice in Punjab.
Chaar Sahibzaade - The Rise of Banda Singh Bahadur is a sequel to 2014 Superhit film Chaar Sahibzaade. The film shifts the focus from Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji's four sons, to the disciple Banda Singh Bahadur, who took his legacy forward.
Guru Gobind Singh Ji visits Madho Das & urges him not to throw away his acute sense of justice & archery skills for a life of asceticism.
The first half appears to be a revision of the first movie, because the story of Banda Singh Bahadur actually starts in the second half.
Madho Das transforms into Khalsa warrior Banda Singh Bahadur. He leads the Sikh army into Mughal territories, slowly he breaks the stronghold of Mughals over Punjab. Along the way, he avenges the death of Guru Gobind Singh Ji's family.
Review - We have seen multiple versions of Ramayana & Mahabharata, but stories from the Sikh History have rarely been portrayed on screen.
Director Harry Baweja & co-writer Harman Baweja have chosen an interesting story to tell. From Banda Singh Bahadur’s training, his battles with Mughals, to his own shortcomings all have the ingredients for a good narrative, which keeps you on your seats. Animation technique used in the film is brilliant.
The film is a must watch for every Sikh.
And for others, if stories of brave soldiers and great wars excite you, then you should not miss this great movie !
