SHOCKING! Filmmaker Aditya Chopra didn't want to sign SRK for Darr !

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Yash Chopra & Aditya Chopra play a prominent role in Shah Rukh Khan’s career. Yash Raj Films gave him a big break with Darr where the superstar managed to shock everyone with his negative character, and since that film, there was no one stopping him. But did you know Aditya Chopra and Yash Chopra didn’t like Shah Rukh Khan and they were forced to sign him. It's Shocking !!

Filmmaker Samar Khan wrote a book on the Shah Rukh Khan, while writing the book, Samar interviewed a lot of filmmakers who have been associated with Shah Rukh Khan and his success, and one of them is Aditya Chopra, the son of Yash Chopra. In the book, the writer revealed that Aditya didn’t like Shah Rukh much. Aditya said,“To be honest, when we cast Shah Rukh for Darr, me and my dad, we both didn't really liked him. But because everyone kept rejecting the negative part, we ended up signing Shah Rukh for Darr”. This is indeed nostalgia in true sense. Wonder if Shah Rukh Khan knows this, that he wasn’t liked much by Yash Ji & Aditya Chopra and they signed him because no other actor was ready to take up that negative role. But even today, this role is remembered as one of his most iconic roles. We all know Shah Rukh Khan shares a great bond with Aditya Chopra and Yash Ji was a father figure for King Khan.

Aditya knows Shah Rukh so well that he even confessed SRK does laugh whole-heartedly. Strange right? “I’ve have always felt that SRK doesn’t laugh whole heartedly. His laughter never reached his eyes. I think that maybe because of the fact, he lost his parents early in life. I don’t think he has got over the loss”. Well, only a close friend can say this.
