25 Years Of Shah Rukh Khan !

Shah Rukh Khan's journey has been an inspiration to all of us. A small town guy who came to Mumbai with just Rs 1500 in his pocket and millions dreams in his eyes, today his net worth is $600 Million making him world’s second richest actor. Those who do not have any filmy background yet they want to achieve something big in life, Shah Rukh Khan is the perfect role model to all of them. The paths he has conquered, the hurdles he has passed through, seems nothing but a truly Bollywood motivational movie.

Considering this fact many writers have narrated the stories of ups and downs of this Superstar’s life journey by the various takes, now the one more book has arrived to unfold his life journey called, “25 Years of Life” through Samar Khan’s pen. The book was launched by SRK himself few days back. Samar Khan has made earlier a documentary on Shah Rukh Khan named, “Living with A Superstar”.

When it's King Khan, it can't be without quite a few chuckles. Shah Rukh Khan has an affinity for making a simple question answer session into good speeches and he never disappoint us. And when King Khan talks, there can't be a conversation without giggle all around.  His witty sarcastic lines make every other speech so interesting.
On the event, SRK delivered a little speech in which he thanked everybody who has helped him when he had nothing to achieve the heights on which he’s ruling today! His heartfelt speech with a pinch of humour clearly describes how humble and down to earth the superstar is!

On being asked how do you feel about working with new comers/filmmakers he said, “When somebody comes to me with a script I never thought of it as new filmmaker or old filmmaker. I’m spending 25 years here, I feel like a new comer and I’d be working with anybody that is never been deciding choice”.

“I was an odd looking guy. I spoke too fast, I’m not from a filmy background, but they gave me an opportunity, Hemaji is not here but who gets an opportunity in his life to sit across the dream girl and she says, 'I like your nose, it’s very aristocratic and you got into My film because of that’ and I was like “Wo naak jisko mai chupata fir raha hu wo naak hema malini ko pasand hai! (Hemaji liked the nose I was embarrassed about).  So, for me if a new comer comes, I’ve been trained by people like this, to respect the new comer, love them like their own and they never made me feel like a new comer! I’ve learnt it from them actually.”

Also the author asked him that after he spoke to different filmmakers, he  found that they all look at SRK so differently like Maniratnam sir told him, “I saw him as a simple middle class boy from delhi”, Kundan Shah thinks of him as a simple guy! Abbas Mastan said, “There’s a danger in his eyes.  I saw that danger”. Also Aditya Chopra said that the only thing Shah Rukh does not do is to how to smile because that’s the only time he’s acting. On which SRK answered that, “Not smile, laugh, I can’t laugh. I have lot of problem laughing in front of the camera. I find it very difficult to laugh on camera and that’s the very many problems I have as an actor, but the description given by my directors make me sound like a middle class psychopath – a simple, middle-class psychopath, lovable psychopath!” also he added that once Kundan Shah told him tha, “I can make a stone act but not you!” He further added, “As an actor it’s not you duty to belive what youre doing. It’s your duty to make others believe that this is who you really are!”
Well, it is sure that the book will be incredibly awesome to read after all who doesn’t want to read about the struggle of the Bollywood’s King! SRK will be seen with Alia Bhatt in Gauri Shinde’s next “Dear Zindagi” releasing on 25 November!
