On Sunday, Superstar Shah Rukh Khan met Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray at his residence in Mumbai. The meeting took place in the evening at Raj Thackeray's residence. A source said, Shah Rukh Khan met Raj Thackeray because his upcoming film "Raees" is all set to release on 25th January and the film features Pakistani Actress Mahira Khan.
After the meeting, MNS Chief Raj Thackeray said, "Shah Rukh came to inform us that the rumours about Mahira Khan's visit to India to promote Raees are completely false.
Earlier, Raj Thackeray and MNS has objected to the casting of Pakistani actors in Indian films because of the reports that claim neighbouring country's involvement in terrorist attacks which took place in India. Also, in October the MNS did high voltage protests against the release of Karan Johar's "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" as the film featured Pakistani Actor "Fawad Khan".
Earlier in 2010, Shah Rukh Khan ran into trouble for the release of his film "My Name Is Khan". Political Party Shiv Sena opposed the screening of the film.
Last year, Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale faced ban in four states and protests at several places. This time he doesn't wants it to happen again. Although, Shah Rukh Khan deserves a clean release, he has always represented India at the Global level. Also, the MNS Chief guaranteed, Shah Rukh Khan's film will release peacefully on 25th January, 2017.
