Ananya Pandey and Jhanvi Kapoor to star opposite Tiger Shroff in Student Of The Year 2?
From Jhanvi Kapoor to Sara Ali Khan to Disha Patani, there have been several names of newbies in Bollywood around for the second installment of Karan Johar's Student Of The Year 2. While Tiger Shroff has been confirmed to play the lead role, the makers haven't revealed the details about the female lead. Now, the latest rumour doing the rounds is that Chunky Pandey's daughter Ananya Pandey is being finalised for Student Of The Year 2, she might be playing one of the roles opposite Tiger. The film will be having two female leads and one male lead unlike the first installment in which it was the other way round. Ananya has been readying to make her Bollywood debut soon after completing her graduation. For now, she's getting trained by celebrity fitness trainer Yasmin Karachiwala.
Recently, Ananya has completed her graduation from Dhirubhai Ambani International High School, Mumbai. Her father Chunky Pandey confirmed the news while interacting with a source, he said, "Yes, Ananya wants to be an actress and she had informed me about her decision sometime ago. Be it Ahaan or Ananya, I want the kids to create their own identity and be a brand in their own right." There were speculations that Salman Khan will launch Ananya in Bollywood. But now sudden reports of her casting in Student Of The Year 2, that seems obviously a rumour.
Student of The Year 2 will be produced by Karan Johar. Tiger Shroff has been finalised to play the lead role in the film, while nothing has been confirmed about the female lead characters, there's much contemplation. Earlier, Saif Ali Khan's daughter Sara Ali Khan was said to be a part of the film, but later on there were rumours about Janhvi Kapoor's casting in the film. It was also being said that the second installment of Student Of The Year, might not happen. However, the CEO of Dharma Productions, Apoorva Mehta said, "Student Of The Year 2 is very much a part of our upcoming films’ slate." He mentioned, "Apart from Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer Drive, we also have Student of the Year 2, which is being directed by Puneet Malhotra and stars Tiger Shroff in the lead role. We will be launching some new girls."
