Story – The plot revolves around the life of a boxer Rocky (Parmish Verma), who wanted to become an International boxer, but the road to glory is never easy, throughout his fame he gets nearer to infamy. The uninterrupted attacks on him left him nowhere. However even in his bad phase he didn’t leave his guts behind, he regains his daring and fights back for what he has lost. Will he be able to regain his fame forms the crux of the story.
Review – Parmish Verma starrer Rocky Mental was one of the much awaited Punjabi films of the year. Director Vikram Thori is also making his directorial debut with the Parmish Verma starrer. The multi talented Parmish Verma makes a debut in his acting career with Rocky Mental. The video director, singer Parmish Verma has appeared in numerous Punjabi songs, Rocky Mental marks his first appearance on the big screen. The plot revolves around the life of a boxer Rocky, who aspires to become an International boxer. But the road to glory is never easy. He captures fame, but for a very short time, what he gets afterwards is infamy. Even in his bad phase, he fights back for what he has lost. The movie showcases, how a person tackles the barriers of his life by fighting against all odds. Going by the performance, Parmish Verma makes a solid debut in the Punjabi film Industry, not to forget the actor has done a lot of hardwork for the movie. Parmish Verma has done full justice to his character. On the other hand, playing Rocky’s love interest is Tannu Kaur Gill, who also makes her acting debut in Punjabi film Industry. The gorgeous damsel is impressive, and nails her character. Mahabir Bhullar, Dheeraj Kumar, Jagjeet Sandhu, Kanika Mann, Karanveer Khullar, Jagjit Singh, Darshan Aulakh deliver impressive performances. The songs match up the content. Punjabi cinephiles must salute director Vikram Thori’s vision and ambition, who came up with an action thriller. The story has been penned by Vikram Thori and Sanjay Saini. Overall, Rocky Mental isn’t a typical Punjabi movie. It’s a unique concept that will be loved by the youth. Rocky Mental has action, fun, laughter, romance, emotions and intense drama, what else we need? Nothing!

Music Review – The songs of Rocky Mental has been topping the charts. Be it Le Chakk Main Aagaya, Yaar Khade Ne, Yaar Ki Wedding, Vadde Velly, Tere ton begair or Yaara. Box Office Prediction – The film has been in making since last year. Fans have been waiting for Rocky Mental since it was announced. Although the film was scheduled to hit the screens on 18 August, but due to some issues it couldn’t happen. But now, the fans have found a reason to rejoice as the film has been released today. The film has been made under the budget of 3 crore (According to estimates). As the film has released today (Satuday) it has all the potential to garner more than half of it’s budget today. The film can easily recover it’s budget during the weekend. Overall, Rocky Mental is a profitable film and will entertain the audience.
Watch or not?
The film has been made with a good intent. The movie has loads of action, romance, emotions, but more than that it has a strong message. Go for it!
