Jab Harry Met Sejal becomes the highest opener for Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma, read out how!
Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma’s jodi has been one of the most successful pairs in Bollywood. The duo came together for the very first time on big screen with Aditya Chopra’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, later on they came together for Yash Chopra’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan and now with with Imtiaz Ali’s latest outing Jab Harry Met Sejal. SRK-Anushka’s endearing chemistry created wonders at the box office every time the duo came together for a film, but this time their sizzling chemistry in Jab Harry Met Sejal is incredible which you can’t afford to miss. Despite the fact that this one may not come out to be their finest film till, indeed their highest opener till date. Yes, Jab Harry Met Sejal has crushed the opening day record of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Jab Tak Hai Jaan to attain this feat.
Recently, we compared the opening day collections of all three films and we were surprised to find out that JHMS has beaten the opening day records of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Jab Tak Hai Jaan (Both domestic and overseas). Jab Harry Met Sejal collected Rs 15.25 crore on it’s opening day and even though it’s a decent collection, but it is more than what Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (Rs 7 crore) and Jab Tak Hai Jaan (Rs 15.23 crore) minted on their opening day at the box office. Well, the three love stories have awed us. Although Jab Harry Met Sejal became the highest opener for the actor in the overseas market. The film collected Rs. 23.75 crore on day 1, beating the previous record of Dilwale (21 crore) in overseas.
Jab Harry Met Sejal is produced under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment and has been released on more than 3100 screens. So far the film has received mixed reviews from critics, but the general audience is in full praise of the film. Fans couldn’t stop gushing about Shah Rukh Khan’s Harry avatar, his on-screen charm, everyone is in love with Anushka Sharma’s Gujju accent. The audience has praised Pritam’s music, Imtiaz Ali’s direction and the beautiful locales of Amsterdam, Budapest, Lisbon, Prague and Punjab. With a positive word of mouth among the audience, we expect the film could manage to have a good weekend, and put up good numbers at the ticket window. It will be interesting to see whether it will turn out to be Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma’s highest grosser till date or not?
