After treating us with content niche films like ‘3 Idiots’, ‘PK’ and ‘Dangal’ Aamir Khan is back with another interesting movie titled as Secret Superstar. Recently, the makers released the posters of upcoming film, and left us super excited for the trailer of the film. And now, the official trailer of Secret Superstar is finally out!
Like Dangal, this one is an impressive one. The film stars Zaira Wasim, portraying the character of a schoolgirl; Insia. The story revolves around a small-town girl who desires to be a world renowned singer. But the road to glory isn’t easy. What turns out to be a barrier for the teenage girl is her own father. But she does not give way, not entirely anyway. By wearing a hijab, in addition to refusing to display her given name, she uploads her efforts on YouTube, and turns into a sensation overnight. Aamir Khan and Zaira Wasim were last seen in Bollywood’s highest grossing film ‘Dangal’, now both the actors are back with another good content film. It will be interesting to see, whether Secret Superstar will surpass ‘Dangal’ or not?
Earlier, Secret Superstar was scheduled to release on August 4 but it was unexpectedly announced that it will release this Diwali. Aamir plays a music director; Shakti Kumar in the film. The actor has completely transformed himself totally into a new look with blonde spikes and everything. Secret Superstar is written and directed by Advait Chandan and is produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, Zee Studios and Akash Chawla. The Aamir Khan and Zaira Wasim starrer is scheduled to hit the screens on Diwali – Oct 19, 2017.
