Going by the trailer, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is about how a boy named as Mudit (Ayushmann Khurrana) falls for a girl next door – Sugandha (Bhumi Pednekar), both are brought together by an arranged wedding alliance, and how a meeting following another leads them to build up their relationship. When they finally are totally in love with each other and all set to get married, Mudit finds out a shocking news regarding himself. The movie aims to explain how their love story changeover from engagement to wedding, even when a life-changing confront faces them early on.
