Ranbir Kapoor made his debut in Bollywood with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Saawariya’ in 2007, which unfortunately failed at the box office. It’s been almost a decade since the actor debuted in Bollywood Industry. Without any doubt one can easily say that he is one of the most talented and sought-after actors, but how he became one of the most successful youngsters in the industry? 10 years back, the actor wasn’t even close to the personality that he is now. The actor failed miserably with his debut film, Ranbir’s first hit came in the shape of ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’. Later on, the actor delivered another hit, but this time it was Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Wake Up Sid’, in the film Ranbir essayed the role of an extraordinary yet relatable boy-next-door as Sidharth Mehra. The film received a lot of critical acclaim and Ranbir gained a good fan following.

But, without any doubts one can easily say that Ranbir’s career actually took off in the year 2011 when the actor collaborated with Imtiaz Ali for the very first time, for Rockstar. Despite the fact that, Ranbir Kapoor delivered an outstanding performance in ‘Wake Up Sid’, but his phenomenal performance as Jordan is what his career essentially needed and his performance as Jordan grabbed eyeballs and thus became an eye-opener for movie buffs to the sheer talent that this Kapoor son had. Although ‘Rockstar’ garnered mixed reviews among critics, but one thing was in no doubt, Ranbir was here to stay. Ranbir’s character transformation from Janardhan to Jordan played a vital role in establishing Ranbir’s image as an actor.

In 2012, the actor collaborated with Anurag Basu for the very first time. The actor played a deaf and dumb guy named as ‘Murphy Johnson’ in the film, and yes with Barfi, the actor garnered legions of fans. Once again, the Kapoor’s son wowed everyone with his acting skills.

In 2013, Ayan-Ranbir came together once again for ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’. And this time, the Deepika Padukone-Ranbir Kapoor starrer made us fall in love with their characters just effortlessly. The film gave us some major travel goals, work goals, and relationship goals.

In 2015, Imtiaz Ali-Ranbir united once again for Tamasha. The Imtiaz Ali directorial brought back the much-loved on-screem chemistry between Deepika-Ranbir. Ranbir’s edgy character in ‘Tamasha’ merged two poles apart characters in one — a geeky 9 to 5 worker Ved and a thoughtful but suffocated artist Don.

In 2016, Ranbir Kapoor came up with Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. The film became a hit, Ranbir’s wonderful performance in ‘Channa Mereya’ and his tormented eyes in the title track ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ became the talk of the town.
