Judwaa 2 Box Office Collection Day 1: Varun Dhawan’s film had a terrific opening, collects Rs 15.55 crore on it’s opening day!

Varun Dhawan starrer much awaited film ‘Judwaa 2’ was released yesterday. The film took the ticket window by storm. The film registered 60% occupancy during the morning shows. The Varun Dhawan starrer film collected Rs 8 crore even before it’s release via advance booking and it’s the fifth best after Baahubali and Tubelight. The Varun Dhawan starrer film is a sequel to Salman Khan’s massive hit Judwaa which was released in 1997. Though Judwaa 2 received mixed reviews among the critics but the audience is in love with the David Dhawan directorial and couldn’t stop gushing about Varun Dhawan’s stand out act. Movie critic and biz analyst Taran Adarsh took his Twitter handle to give the Day 1 box office collection report of Judwaa 2. He wrote –






Varun Dhawan fans are in a treat, courtesy – Varun Dhawan playing Raja and Prem. We expected the first day box office collection of Judwaa 2 to be more than Rs 12 crore, and it collected Rs. 15.55 crore, beating Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal which collected Rs 15.25 crore on it’s opening day, thus becoming the 4th biggest opener of the year. Now that the David Dhawan directorial has raked in Rs 15.55 crore on day 1, it has all the potential to collect around Rs. 45 cr during the weekend and will easily continue a victory run till Monday as it’s a holiday on 2nd October, and will easily cross Rs 60 crore mark till Monday and can easily enter Rs. 100 cr during next weekend as there are no big releases next week.
