Wonder Woman fans start a petition and you’ll be shocked to know the real reason behind this!
Recently, thousands of fans have petitioned Warner Bros to “Craft Wonder Woman Bisexual” in the upcoming sequel to this year’s super hit movie and make the first key LGBT superhero.
Near about six thousand fans have signed a petition on change.org which was started by a former scholar Collier-Pitts, in an interview she said, “I started the petition as Warner Bros had not addressed Wonder Woman’s sexuality even though the likelihood of her being bisexual has been alluded to for years, primarily in comics.”
Greg Rucka, an American comic book writer, who created a new Wonder Woman series for DC Comics last year, told that the superhero was “obviously” bisexual.
In fact, Collier-Pitts wrote in an introduction to the petition, “All I ask is that Warner Bros directly grant Diana Prince for who she is, who she has always been (regardless of her current love interest), and what her character could potentially symbolize for millions of people”, and no one from Warner Bros was instantly available to comment.
Wonder Woman returned to the big screens this year, the character of Wonder Woman was portrayed on screen by Israeli actress ‘Gal Gadot’ and stood on top of the box office. The film garnered rave reviews upon release. The sequel for the film was announced earlier this month.
But the comic books on the subject of Diana Prince fighting baddies along with unearthing evil plots have been approximately more than seven decades.
Collier-Pitts wrote, “Making Wonder Woman canonically bisexual on screen would make her the first candidly LGBTQ superhero of any gender from DC cinematic universe, and would congeal her place as a right role model for women.”
