Review - One of the most anticipated espionage-thriller created by the award-winning duo Krishna D.K. and Raj Nidimoru (Stree, Go Goa Gone, Shor In The City) for which the makers have roped in national award-winning and highly acclaimed bunch of actors for the series. The stellar star cast includes Manoj Bajpayee famous actress Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi, Sharad Khelkar, Neeraj Madhav, Gul Panag, Sundeep Kishan, Darshan Kumaar, Sunny Hinduja, Shreya Dhanwantary and others. The 10 episode series is raw, rustic and engaging. The Family man dwells in the world of Srikant Tiwari played by (Manoj Bajpayee) an intelligence officer, a father, a husband who juggles between his father duties and serving the nation.
Talking about the acting proficiency of the cast, needless to say, Manoj Bajpayee is beyond words, he does justice to the role of a husband, father, employee and a friend. His character Srikant is definitely relatable. Indeed a perfect choice for the role. He carries the show The Family Man on his shoulder. On the other hand, Sharib Hashmi as a friend complements Manoj well. Srikant’s unhappy wife Priyamani (Suchi) is yet another similar character that we see in every household, from a working mother to a wife who manages the expenses in limited money, she is apt for the role and connects well with the audience. Darshan Kumar who has carved a niche for himself in films is also a perfect choice for the role of an antagonist as he is the reason for all the havoc created in the city. Gul Panag as the Srinagar NIA officer Saloni Bhatt is a tough, intelligent and powerful lady in the show. After a long time, we see Gul in a role which suits her the best. Versatile actor Sharad Kelkar as Arvind lights up the usual high intense dramatic moments in the show. His screen presence isn’t lost in the rather multi-starrer cast. To be very honest the show doesn’t disappoint even a bit with twists and turns and complexities of each character keeps us hooked throughout. The hard-hitting actions sequences show blood, bomb, and blasts that is heart-wrenching. The scenes are so impactful that you will be astonished. With every episode, the viewers are hooked on to the screens, all thanks to intriguing background score by Ketan Sodha. Well, we can’t miss the applaud worthy dialogues, one-liners and jokes, in the most serious and toxic situations of Srikant’s life, the punches by him does make you laugh a two for a minute. Dialogue writer Sumit Arora does a fine job.
The amalgamation of the fine cast with an edge of the seat performance the show is indeed a must watch!
