REVIEW - Alien, The Martian and The Blade Runner director Ridley Scott revisits a familiar plot : Science Fiction and the vast unknown. Alien : Covenant is the sequel to 2012's Prometheus. In 1979, when the opening title for Alien, slowly emerged on big screen with it's instantly remarkable theme, the audience had no clue what to expect. They eventually discovered what the vicious extra terrestrial was capable of. Almost 10 years later, an entire army of these creatures would cause a large amount of destruction in a sequel that ramped up the action. Unsurprisingly, the director attempts to ride that momentum by combining Alien (1979) and Prometheus (2012), bringing up some new cool alien effects and a solid cast. The thing which may surprise the audience is Walter and David robots than the aliens. Scott is more interested in them, and it clearly shows. Michael Fassbender does a fabulous job in his dual role as David and Walter. This one ends up being one of the best performances of Fassbender's career. The rest of the cast handle their roles as victims of Aliens. Katherine Waterston's character has sadness, unease and fighting spirit as well, she delivers a solid performance. Billy Crudup is also good. Danny McBride is the biggest surprise here, delivers the right amount of comedy to the depressing story. Alien : Covenant isn't too bad, but not as good as the previous films of the franchise.

FINAL WORDS - If you are a fan of Alien Series, then this one is definitely for you, but one time watchable for others!
