BOX OFFICE COLLECTION UPDATE : Allu Arjun's Duvvada Jagannadham takes a much bigger start than Salman Khan's Tubelight
Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde starrer film Duvvada Jagannadham has released yesterday. The film received mixed response from critics as well as the audience. The film failed to beat opening day collections of Baahubali 2 : The conclusion in the Nizam region. The film raked in Rs 4.95cr nett (Rs 6.75 gross) on it's first day in the territory, whereas Baahubali 2 still holds the highest opening day record in the Nizam area with it's first day collections around Rs. 8.70cr. And here comes the biggest news for Allu Arjun fans. Duvvada Jagannadham managed to beat Salman Khan starrer Tubelight at the domestic as well as at the USA box office. The film collected 23cr at the domestic box office, while Salman Khan's Tubelight managed to collect only 21.15cr. Talking about overseas, DJ collected $ 526,355 [₹ 3.39 cr] in USA till 5.20 pm IST and took at much bigger start than Tubelight at the USA box office. Allu Arjun's DJ debuts at No. 11 at US box office, while Salman Khan starrer Tubelight is standing at No. 16. Film critic and biz analyst Taran Adarsh took his Twitter handle to give the collection report, he wrote -
